We named the studio after the most underrated professional in history. Before pigeons were famous on the internet, they were famous for saving lives. These are the legends.
Pigeons have been carrying messages for thousands of years — for the Persians, the Greeks and the Romans — and standing in for peace, love and divinity in most cultures in between. In wartime they became something else entirely: the fastest, most reliable line between the front and home.
In 1943 Maria Dickin established the Dickin Medal, the animal equivalent of the Victoria Cross. Of its earliest recipients, most were pigeons.
